"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has a few things to say on the subject of towels.
A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value— you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you—daft as a bush, but very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitch hiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have "lost". What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with."

Getting ready for the hurricane; we're going up north to a friend of the family's and hopefully our house will be ok. Moms packin everything up and putting it all in my bathroom. I'm not liking the fact that our complex doesnt put up shutters on any of the windows and theres way too much stuff in my room to take it all down, so I hope theres no damage. Its amazing when theres a major storm and you put your things away, how many things you have and how much of it is irreplaceable. Well I gotta get back to the prep, everyone stay safe and theres no major damage. The Force will be with you all, always.

wow Ive let this sit for far to long. ok to sum up the last few weeks school is still going well, I got a job and am a paid employee of Cold Stone Creamery in Miami Lakes, whooo money for meee!! What else, right duh its my B-Day tomorrow and one of my favorite ppl, some one I truly love and cherish more than I could ever put into words, is leaving Miami. That makes me really sad but its her life and she needs to live it. I know Ive never really expressed my feelings to that extent to her but I have a really hard time put my thoughts together when Im talking to you and I just never know what to say. Im hoping to get together with Renee today since Im going away for my B-Day maybe dinner and movie I,Robot looks awesome, I dunno. night all. |

Today was pretty cool. In photography I developed my first roll of film and as far as I can tell I think they all came out, oh yeah Sonny great idea about taking pics of the naked ppl on the beach those are some of my best shots. hmmm what else well I'm getting ready for this weekend I'll be going to Orlando to enjoy Star Wars Weekends @ MGM, its gonna be so sweet. Hopefully I'll get to see Sean or Nikki while I'm up there been really missin my FSC crew!! Well I'm off to sleep maybe. |

Man I really need to write more in this thing. Today was a good day went out and took two rolls of film with my Nikon N75 just so I csn get used to it. I didnt really take pics of anything in particular but I need to start taking some for my Photography class or I wont have any thing to develop when we go the the darkroom in the next few weeks. |
